Task Till Dawn 1.3 released

Tonight, I released version 1.3 of Task Till Dawn. The new version contains many small bugfixes and changes, especially regarding the compatibility to Snow Leopard. The task-scheduler has been rewritten and is now more reliable, and the whole application is now multilingual (English and German). Also, I added support for different notification services - like Growl (on the Mac). With it, and the optional service Prowl, it is possible to receive Task Till Dawn notifications on the iPhone and/or on the iPod touch.

With version 1.3, the special agent-application on the Mac is no longer needed. It is now possible to let Task Till Dawn run in the background via the preferences. The dock-symbol can be hidden, as well as the toolbar-item.

läuft hier leider nicht - app startet und wird gleich wieder beendet - imac g5 10.5.8

Hallo!

Ich habe leider keinen PowerPC-Mac mehr zum Testen hier. Eventuell liegt es an der Java-VM. Unter 10.5 ist, soweit ich mich erinnere, Java 1.5 als Default eingestellt. Das lässt sich in den Java-Einstellungen ändern. Und zwar unter Programme -> Dienstprogramme -> Java-Einstellungen.

Task Till Dawn benötigt auf jeden Fall Java 1.6.

Java 1.6 läuft übrigens in den Java-Einstellungen unter "Java SE 6". In den Einstellungen unter "Allgemein" im Feld "Java-Programm" die Java SE 6 Version mit der Maus an die erste Stelle der Liste schieben. Vielleicht hilft das!

danke für die schnelle Antwort.
leider keine Chance für PPC: " Java SE 6 is available on 64-bit Intel-based Macs only." sagt Apple. Trotzdem interessante app !

p.s.: wenn dem so ist wie apple angibt würde ich vielleicht sehen ob bei mac-osx-downloads das universal-logo wegkommt. Möglicherweise wäre auch ein "intel-only" Hinweis angebracht.

Guten Morgen!

Ja, ich werde das korrigieren. Die Anwendung selbst (bzw. der Java-Starter in der Anwendung) ist eigentlich Universal Binary. Aber ich hatte verdrängt, dass es für PPC kein Java 6 gibt. Danke für den Hinweis!
