Task Till Dawn
Task Till Dawn is a free task scheduler which can execute your repetitive tasks (i.e. open files or applications) at specified times or intervals. For example, use Task Till Dawn to automatically let iTunes download the newest Podcasts at a specified time. Or let it backup your important files every day. Needless to say, tasks can also be executed manually
The application is written in Java and therefore basically platform independent. Currently, versions for Windows and Mac OS X (Intel) are available. A Linux version will probably also be available in the future.
As this project is provided under the GPL, you can take the sourcecode and fit it to meet your own needs. Pre-compiled versions, as well as the sourcecode, are available in the Downloads section. The application is multilingual (English, German, Spanish and French).
Tasks can be executed with a delay. This might come in handy if a to be executed application has to access the Internet connection, which often is not available directly after a computer wakes up from sleep or powers up. Additionaly, it is possible to cancel a tasks upcoming execution during this delay. In case of an error, Task Till Dawn displays a message in the tasklist. Tasks can also be disabled to temporarily avoid execution.
Different notification services can be used to notify the user whenever a task will be executed shortly. It is possible to use Growl notifications, text to speech and others as well.

I like Task Till Dawn. It's simple and easy to use.

Love it.
If I could put a wish in it would be the ability to stop jobs.
eg. I use it to start jobs that use the internet during my ISP's 'off-peak' time. So I can start them at 2am, but it would be great to be able to stop them automatically at 8am.
Wont stop me from recomending it to anyone tho!

Find das Tool super, aber ich würde mir noch eine Funktion wünschen, die Tasks bei jedem Systemstart (auch mit Verzögerung) einmal startet und danach erst wieder beim nächsten Systemstart.

Danke für das Feedback. Momentan komme ich nur selten dazu, an Task Till Dawn weiter zu machen, weshalb es noch etwas dauern kann bis zum nächsten Release.

Antes que nada, agradecerte por tu colaboración hacia la comunidad y luego felicitarte por tu producto.
Momentaneamente lo estoy usando al programa, lo seguire testeando y luego te enviare un email.

Estaria interesante que las tareas a ejecutar tengan la opcion de ser cerradas en un tiempo determinado. Por ejemplo: que inicie a tal hora y que cierre a tal hora.
