Unfortunately I'm a little bit late with this blog entry - the voting will only be possible until the 29th or June.
During the development of sourceXchange I wrote a small template parser, named Temply, which is able to handle single (closed) tags as well as nested block tags. Also, custom attributes can be assigned to tags to control their behaviour.
The parser is pretty easy to use and can be freely extended using a simple interface. The whole thing consists of just three relatively small PHP classes. It is not a full blown template engine like – for example – Smarty. It has no caching mechanisms (yet) and there are no predefined tag libs included. But I think this might as well be an advantage in some cases.
Today, I'm releasing the package in the downloads-section under the LGPL. Coding examples are included within the downloadable archive, to help you get started.
One would think that most hotels these days offer Wi-Fi Internet access to their residents. Or at least provide a free or low cost cable connection.
Unfortunately, this was not the case for the hotels where I spent my nights during the last few weeks.
Luckily, I got my hands on a UMTS prepaid surfstick. It's not as fast as my DSL at home, but I'm finally online again! It even works in the train between Stuttgart and my current working location. The connection there is not super stable but suitable for mailing and browsing the web.
From tomorrow on I will be working at a different company. Namely the dmc digital media center GmbH in Stuttgart Bad-Cannstatt. I already had the chance to get to know some of my to-be co-workers and the working environment at an introduction day. Anyhow, I'm pretty anxious about what the new job will bring and how my first week there will be.
The latest version contains a lot of bugfixes and some slight enhancements in the user interface.
With release 1.3, Lock-UnMatic again received some enhancements regarding the user interface. I added a searchfield with which it is possible to directly filter for filenames inside the list of files. Also, it is now possible to see all files currently in use using the "Show"-menu. Furthermore, the admin-mode is now also available on Intel Macs without 64bit support.
Unfortunately there was a bug in the downloads section which prevented the download of Task Till Dawn. I have now fixed that bug and the download should function again.
Task Till Dawn 1.5 is more or less just a bugfix release. Especially the serious bug, which caused the tasklist to be lost sometimes on Windows, should be fixed now.
